26. Chip pass
When a ball is passed through the air. Achieve this by hitting the bottom of the ball.
27. Chip Shot
A shot that is intended to go over the goal keepers head and out of his reach. Achieve this by hitting the bottom of the ball with very little follow through.
28. Contain
To not allow your opponent any space, to create. To hold you opponent in his or her own half by pressuring.
29. Corner flags
The flags that mark the corners of the field. They can not be less then 5ft high, with a non-pointed top.

30. Corner kick
A kick from where the touchline and goal line meet. A kick to restart play when the ball goes out on the opposing teams goal line.
31. Counter Attack
A direct fast paced attack, moving the ball forward as soon as possible before the opposing team has time to drop back and defend.
32. Cover
A defensive term, which can be used to defend an area or defend a player.
33. Create
To make something happen offensively.
34. Cross
A term used to instruct a player to pass the ball to the middle. The ball usually should be played in the air from the left ot right flank.
35. D
Short for defense.
36. Dangerous Play
To play in a way that may endanger you or your opponent. "To play in a dangerous manner" is the official term. The most common calls are the "high kick" and the "playing on the ground"
37. Defenders
The last 3 or 4 players before your keeper. They play in front of the keeper and behind the midfield.
38. Defensive Half
The half of the field containing your goal.
39. Direct Kick
A free kick awarded to the opposing team after a foul or misconduct.
40. Distribute
To collect and pass the ball.
41. Dive
An attempt to fool the referee into giving a foul. Going down with minimal contact. Also see Flop
42. Dribble
To advance with the ball at your feet.
43. Drop
A term used to instruct a player or players to return to defense.
44. Dummy
When a player deliberately allows a ball to pass. Usually for a teammate with better positioning.
45. Eighteen
A more common word for the penalty area, which is eighteen yards from the goal line.

48. Fifty/Fifty Ball
Is a ball that two players have an equal chance of winning. Also known as a hospital ball.
49. Finish
To complete a goal scoring opportunity.
50. First Attacker
The player with the ball at his feet. This player has the responsibility of starting the attack.
